Terry Sherman is co-owner and CEO of Hassett Air Express, a leader in time-sensitive freight services. Terry is a 44-year veteran of the transportation industry. He assumed the role of CEO in November 1999. Prior to that, he was Corporate President responsible for the Hassett Moving and Storage division.
Terry has held many association and corporate positions during his career. He is a past president of the Illinois Movers Association and the Allied Agents Association. He is a past Board Director of Allied Van Lines in Naperville, Illinois, and the Sisters' of St. Joseph in La Grange, Illinois. He currently serves on the Enterprise Council of American
Airlines and is a graduate of the University of Illinois.

Michelle Halkerston

Michelle Halkerston has more than 22 years experience in logistics and technology. She joined Hassett Air Express in 2001 as Vice President of Strategic Planning, responsible for technology, marketing and planning. In September 2003, Michelle was named President of Hassett Air Express.
Michelle was most recently Vice President of Product Strategy for ShipLogix, where she was responsible for product strategy and marketing. She was also Director of eCommerce Strategy for Caliber Logistics, now FedEx Logistics, and Director of Logistics Systems for Penske Logistics. Halkerston began her career as a computer specialist at NASA Lewis Research Center.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Mount Union College and earned her MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College. She is a member of the Council of Logistics Management and serves on the DuPage County Workforce Board.

As co-owner and Corporate Vice President, Donna O'Reilly has a long history with Hassett Air Express. Her responsibilities include corporate planning and financial reporting. Donna also has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. She served at the managerial level for 14 years, overseeing a large branch of a savings and loan institute.
Donna received a B.S. in History from Illinois State University.

Dominick Schiavone is the secretary-treasurer and CFO of Hassett Air Express, as well as a co-owner. He joined Hassett in December 1975, as an assistant to the treasurer. In his years at Hassett, he has seen the company grow from an Allied Van Lines moving company to a seventy million dollar worldwide airfreight forwarder. Dominick has been responsible for the company's financials and cash positions since August of 1980.
Dominick graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in Economics.

Mike Stone is in his 30th year with Hassett Air Express. He has held several management positions with Hassett during his career including operations manager, terminal manager and Director of Operations. As
Senior Vice President, Mike is responsible for domestic and international operations, customer service, the national quote team and expedited products.
Mike received a B.S. in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.

Ed Boyk

As Vice President of Field Operations & Moving Services, Ed Boyk is responsible for all matters pertaining to driver and warehouse personnel, equipment, facilities, safety and ISO compliance. He began his career with the Hassett household division in November 1979, and has held numerous operations positions in the truck division.
Ed was named Corporate Director of Fleet and Safety for all Hassett terminals in 1995 and Vice President of Field Operations in August 1999. In addition, he was appointed to the role of management representative for the Hassett/ISO Quality Management Team in March 2000.Ed was elevated to his current position in September 2003.
Ed received a B.A. in Business Management from Northern Illinois University.

Scott Leali

Scott Leali began his career with Hassett in 1983 as a night operations agent. When Hassett expanded operations to the south, Scott was there to open Hassett’s Atlanta facility where he served as the facility’s General Manager. Tapping into his knowledge and experience, he was transferred to the company’s Philadelphia facility in 1990 where he expanded East Coast operations by assisting in opening Hassett’s Dulles, VA and Newark, NJ facilities.

Dennis Cartwright

Dennis Cartwright joined the company in 1989 as a part-time warehouse/driver employee. Dennis’s focused training as a Transportation Specialist in the United States Air Force quickly made him an asset to the Atlanta facility’s team. Dennis was named Terminal Manager of the Atlanta facility before being transferred to the West Coast as General Manager of the Los Angeles operation. In 2007, Dennis was named Vice President of Operations and is now stationed at the Corporate Offices in Elmhurst.

Don Prentice

Don Prentice has been with Hassett since 1979. He has held several positions at the company including Industrial and Office Moving Specialist, Operations Manager, and most recently, National Director of Customer Service. As Vice President of Customer Relations, Don will be responsible for the Customer Service team, air carrier performance, and sales support. He actively participates in industry related organizations and work groups, such as Red Tag News Publications and the Airforwarders Association, to seek out new solutions for our customers’ transportation challenges. Don is also a member of the National Association for Down Syndrome.
